What Our Impact Tool Does

Our impact analysis tool follows this process:

• Extracting Core Facts: We start by breaking down a press release into its essential facts and key messages, removing extraneous language to clearly identify the fundamental information.
• Matching Facts to Media Coverage: Next, we compare these distilled facts with daily media coverage. Our AI extracts relevant content from articles to identify matches with the original press release facts.
• Visualising Impact: The analysis is compiled into a comprehensive spreadsheet, visually indicating which facts appeared in which publications, offering clear insights into the press release’s effectiveness.
• Identifying Emerging Narratives: Our system also highlights additional facts mentioned in media coverage that weren’t included in the original press release. These extra facts can reveal emerging trends or narratives, providing valuable insight into how stories evolve after the initial release.

This approach provides a clear, data-driven view of the press release’s performance and reception.

Beyond Monitoring

While the current system focuses on monitoring and analysis, we’re working on developing this into a complete feedback loop that can help organisations continuously improve their press releases and media impact.
