Comprehensive Parliamentary Monitoring
Over the past year, we’ve been building a comprehensive database of Italian parliamentary activities, capturing:
- Every speech and debate
- Party positions and individual MP statements
- Industry sectors and key terminology
- Relationship networks between all these elements
This foundation has allowed us to experiment with how AI can process this information and understand parliamentary discussions at a deeper level.
Visualising Political Sentiment
One interesting aspect we’ve been exploring is the visualisation of parliamentary discussions:
- Creating visual maps of discussions around specific industries
- Tracking how individual MPs mention key terms (like renewables, gas, nuclear)
- Showing where speakers fall on sentiment spectrums
- Representing frequency of mentions through sizing of visual elements
- Using keyword filters to reveal patterns in the discourse
AI-Powered Analysis
One of the most interesting features that we have been exploring is our AI agent’s ability to accurately interpret the data and generate summaries of party positions on various topics. This has become an interesting test case for our approach—we can compare the AI’s interpretation with expert human analysis to see where they align and where they differ.
